About Our Consultancy
Dedicated to helping organisations navigate the transition to sustainable energy since 2014
Our Foundation and Purpose
stormy-branch was established in Liverpool with a clear purpose: to make sustainable energy accessible and practical for organisations of all sizes. We recognised that many businesses wanted to reduce their environmental impact but lacked the technical expertise to evaluate options and implement changes effectively.
Our consultants bring backgrounds in mechanical engineering, environmental science, and energy management. This multidisciplinary approach allows us to address sustainability challenges from multiple angles, considering technical feasibility, regulatory requirements, and financial viability.
We work with manufacturing facilities, healthcare organisations, educational institutions, and commercial property managers throughout the North West. Each project begins with understanding your specific operational context before recommending tailored solutions.
Our Guiding Principles
The values that inform how we approach every client engagement
Evidence-Based Recommendations
Our advice stems from data analysis, site assessments, and proven methodologies rather than assumptions or trends.
Practical Implementation
We focus on solutions that can realistically be implemented within your operational and budgetary constraints.
Knowledge Transfer
We aim to build your internal capabilities, not create ongoing dependency on external consultants.
Long-Term Thinking
Recommendations consider future regulatory changes, technology developments, and evolving energy markets.
Our Methodology
Every engagement follows a structured approach designed to deliver measurable outcomes:
Discovery Phase: We begin with thorough site visits, stakeholder interviews, and analysis of existing energy data. This ensures our recommendations address your actual circumstances rather than generic assumptions.
Analysis and Modelling: Using industry-standard tools and methodologies, we quantify current performance, identify improvement opportunities, and model projected outcomes of different interventions.
Strategic Planning: We develop phased implementation plans that balance quick wins with longer-term initiatives, always considering your organisational capacity for change.
Implementation Support: Beyond strategy, we can support procurement, contractor selection, and project management to ensure plans translate into results.
